Microsoft is likely to showcase Halo Infinite at their E3 press conference, and it’s easy to see why. Halo is a hype builder, and acts as one of the company’s flagship game series’, making it a game that will help put Microsoft on the minds of gamers, especially given Sony’s absence from the show.

With Halo Infinite, industry insider Brad Sams fo Thurrott has reported that Microsoft plans to showcase next-generation visuals with Halo Infinite, which means that they will be playing the game on PC with an Xbox One controller.

At this time it is unknown whether or not Microsoft plans to call this demo a next-generation Xbox dev kit or admit that the game is running on PC, all we know is that Microsoft wants the game to look its best, something which isn’t possible on the company’s ageing Xbox One hardware.

Halo Infinite s built using 343 Industries’ new Slipspace Engine, with this new series entry acting as a spiritual reboot for the series, one which will take the franchise in an “unexpected” direction.

Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference will take place on Sunday, June 9th at 9:00 PM BST. The times and dates for all major E3 Conferences are available here with both US and European times.
