Monster Hunter World now has a High-Res Texture Pack on PC
The texture pack will release in the form of an option piece of free DLC content for the game, with the DLC taking up around 40GB of storage space, more than doubling the size of the game.Â
To use Monster Hunter World’s High-Resolution Texture pack, Capcom has listed a graphics card with 8GB or more VRAM as a requirement, which is excellent news for users of 8GB+ graphics cards like the RX 580, GTX 1070 or RTX 2070 or better. In addition to this, a new Anti-Aliasing option will be added to Monster Hunter World’s advanced graphical settings, allowing “TAA+FXAA” to be used, merging the capabilities of both AA types to eliminate more jagged edges. Â
Â
With update 5.2, a VRAM meter has been added to Monster Hunter World, allowing PC gamers to judge whether or not their system has enough VRAM for the title. At launch, we noted that Monster Hunter World never used over 4GB of VRAM during our PC performance review (Link) for the game.   Â
