Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PC in early 2022

Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PC in early 2022, arriving after the game’s highly anticipated Switch version, which launches on March 26th 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise will be the first game in the series to utilise Capcom’s RE Engine, a versatile game engine that has been used to create many of the most recent Resident Evil titles, Devil May Cry 5 and future releases like Pragmata and Resident Evil Village. Being a multi-platform game engine, it makes sense for Minster Hunter Rise to become a multi-platform release, especially given the success of Monster Hunter World on PC.

At this time, Capcom has not revealed Monster Hinter Rise for other console platforms, such as Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or their next-generation counterparts. Beyond that, it is unknown what additional features Monster Hunter Rise will deliver on PC.

The PC version of Monster Hunter Rise will likely support higher resolutions and refresh rates than the game’s Switch version and additional graphical features that may include high-resolution textures, improved shadows, ambient occlusion and more. Mouse/keyboard controls are also expected.

Capcom plans to release more details about the PC version of Monster hunter Rise as the game approaches its launch, as the game remains in active development. Understandably, the Switch version of the game is Capcom’s current priority, as it is currently being finalised in preparation for its March 26th launch date.
