Nvidia issues stutter-fixing HotFix driver for GeForce graphics cards

Nvidia addresses stuttering issues with their latest GeForce HotFix driver release

Nvidia has launched a new GeForce HotFix driver that addresses a range of stuttering issues, and stability issues in EA’s Immortals of Aveum. This new  HotFix is based on the company’s recently released 551.23 driver, and is available to download now.

If you have been noticing stuttering issues when using web browsers, this new driver hotfix should address this issue for you. Additionally, if you have seen micro-stuttering when V-Sync is enabled, this driver should also address that problem.

For GeForce Optimus Notebook users, this new driver hotfix should also address stuttering in Red Dead Redemption.

Nvidia’s GeForce Hotfix driver 551.46 is based on the company’s Game Ready Driver 551.23 driver.
This hotfix addresses the following issues:
  • Some users may experience intermittent micro-stuttering in games when vertical sync is enabled [4445940]
  • Potential stutter may be observed when scrolling in web browsers on certain system configurations [4362307]
  • [Red Dead Redemption 2][Vulkan] Stutter observed on some Advanced Optimus notebooks [4425987]
  • [Immortals of Aveum] Addresses stability issues over extended gameplay [4415277]

Nvidia users can download the company’s GeForce HotFix 551.46 driver here.
