Nvidia’s latest driver causes Watch Dogs 2 to crash on startup

Nvidia’s latest GPU driver, version 384.76, has been found to prevent Watch Dogs 2 from starting, preventing owners from playing the game.

Right now there is no known fix for this issue, aside from rolling back your drivers to Nvidia’s previous version. This bug will cause Watch Dogs 2 to crash back to desktop after starting the application, though the issue is noted deep within Nvidia’s patch notes.

Those who still play Watch Dogs 2 on PC should download Nvidia’s previous WHQL driver, which is stable for when used with this game, version 382.53. You can download this older/stable Geforce driver here.
