When it comes to driver issues on Geforce hardware, one of the best places to report problems is the Nvidia forum, which offers posters the opportunity to get a direct response from Nvidia staff and place specific bugs or issues onto their radar.

On Nvidia’s “Official 399.24 Game Ready WHQL Display Driver Feedback Thread” the Geforce user LordLocksley reported that he was able to achieve “massive improvements in performance” by adjusting Nvidia’s game profile for Monster Hunter World, achieving a 15-20% performance boost with no negative side effects.

This performance boost was achieved by removing the following keys from his Monster Hunter World driver profile when using the nvidiaProfileInspector tool.

After this information was posted on the Nvidia forum thread, a Customer Care representative confirmed that Monster Hunter World’s performance issues would be solved with Nvidia’s next driver release. The next version of Nvidia’s Geforce drivers will allow Nvidia to offer increased performance levels in Monster Hunter World.

Sadly, we are unable to test this workaround ourselves at this time, though we plan to test out Nvidia’s next driver release to judge the performance impact of these anticipated proposed changes. Monster Hunter World is a demanding game, so any additional performance will be welcomed by players, especially if they want to play the game at its highest settings.
