OUTCAST – SECOND CONTACT is currently free on the Humble Store

For a limited time, Outcast – Second Contact will be available for free on the Humble Store, exclusively to subscribers to the website’s newsletter. The version of the game that Humble is offering a DRM-Free Windows version of the game, which will allow PC gamers to access the title without the need for online services like Steam. 

Outcast – Second Contact is a remake of the 1999 PC classic, where gamers take the role of Cutter Slade, an elite soldier, while he explores the planet of Adelpha, a place where both science and magic mix. This re-make launched in 2017, making it a fairly recent release. On Steam the game has a “Very Positive” review rating, making it well worth downloading. 

Once redeemed, the game will appear on your Humble account and will be downloadable at any time. The game is 5.9GB in size, though the install size of the game is larger. 

Owners of the original PC game should know that this new version features new hidden areas, which will settle some of the original’s greatest mysteries. Combat has also been improved with the addition of dodges, rolls, and a sprint/cover system.
