Overwatch will be available to play for free this weekend

This weekend Overwatch will be available to play for free on all platforms and across all regions, giving both PC and console gamers a great opportunity to play one of the industries most iconic multiplayer titles.

Overwatch’s free trial period will begin on February 6th and is set to end on February 19th, with pre-loading starting today on PS4 and Xbox One. Below is a timetable that details the start and end times for this free weekend across most of the world’s major time zones.

During this free weekend, all 26 of Overwatch’s colourful cast of heroes will be available to play in the game’s Quick Play, Custom and Arcade modes, with players having the chance to level up, earn in-game loot and unlock customisation options for each character. Those who eventually purchase the full game will also be given an opportunity to carry over their progress to the full game if/when they buy it.

PS4 and Xbox One users will have to subscribe to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live to be able to access/play in Overwatch’s free weekend, though the same thing also applies to the full release. PC is the only place where this Overwatch Weekend is truly free. Please note that Overwatch does not support platform cross-play.
