PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has surpassed 1 million concurrent players, which is more than 8 out of Steam’s top 10 games combined and over a quarter of a million more players than DOTA 2.
This number is only expected to increase with time, with the popularity of the game showing no sign of wavering in the near future. It will be interesting to see how much this game’s playerbase continues to grow in the future, especially as more features and bug fixes come to the game as it develops.
At the time of writing, DOTA 2 holds the all-time record for concurrent players on Steam, a total of 1,291,328 players.
