Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds now has a higher peak player count than DOTA 2
Â
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has been growing in popularity in recent months, with each new update for the game increasing the game’s stability while adding additional features and requested bug fixes from the game’s huge fanbase.Â
Â
Over the weekend Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has been able to surpass DOTA 2’s peak player count on Steam’s game stats web page, making it the most popular game on Steam at peak times. At the time of writing PUBG’s current player count is lower than DOTAÂ 2, which means that the game has a way to go before it is consistently the top game on Valve’s gaming platform.
Â
It must be remembered that PUBG is currently a Premium game on Steam Early Access, making it all the more impressive that it is able to compete and sometimes surpass Valve’s free-to-play juggernaut, DOTA 2. At the time of writing PUBG has more peak players than Counter Strike: Global Offensive and GTA V combined!
Â
 Â
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is expected to continue to grow in popularity over the coming weeks and/or months, with both Nvidia and AMD releasing new game optimised driver for this title last week.Â
