PUBG will leave Steam Early Access on December 20th

At this year’s annual Game Awards, PBUG Corp has officially announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be exiting Steam Early Access on December 20th, officially releasing the game as version 1.0.

On this date, several new features will be added to the game alongside the game’s long sought after Desert Map, which we now know to be called Miramar. Below is a trailer which details a lot of the map’s distinct areas.

Miramar takes a very different approach to the game’s original Erangel map, moving away from the game’s greenery and heavily forested areas. This will allow Miramar to play very differently and not just act as a desert map reskin, traditional PUBG tactics will not work on Miramar.

PUBG will also be coming to Xbox One Early Access on December 12th, giving console gamers their first opportunity to play this PC gaming phenomenon for themselves.
