Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered Edition will be free for owners of the original on Steam

THQ Nordic has announced that Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered, the remaster of the 2009 classic, will be released next month on July 3rd on PC, Xbox One and PS4. 

Red Faction: Guerrilla remaster will offer gamers updated visuals with 4K resolution support, reworked textures, specular maps and improved lighting and shadow rendering. Destroying Mars has never looked better. 

Owners of the original game’s Steam version will receive this Re-Mars-tered Edition for free on Steam, which is excellent news for fans of the series who want to revisit the game. Back in February THQ Nordic released a Multiplayer update for Red Faction: Guerilla, hinting at the game’s eventual re-release on both PC and console.
