Rocket League’s latest update adds DirectX 11 support, HDR Audio and more

Rocket League has received its March Update, and with it comes support for extended “HDR Audio” controls, mainstream DirectX 11 support and some minor tweaks to the game’s camera and controls.

Rocket league’s March Update will be the last update for the game to officially support macOS and Linux. Users of Rocket League on macOS and Linux can claim a refund for the game until June 10th, 2020. This refund isn’t available for PC gamers that have only played Rocket League on Windows.

DirectX 11 has become Rocket League’s default API, changing the system requirement for Rocket League. Rocket League’s March Update will likely be the last update for the game that supports DirectX 9, which remains as an opt-in option, at least for now.

To revert to DirectX 9, you can follow the below instructions.

– Open Steam
– Right-click Rocket League, select Properties
– Choose Select Launch Options under the General tab
– Paste in -dx9, select OK
– Start Rocket League

With this update, Rocket League players have gained the ability to trade in blueprints for higher rarity blueprints. Players can trade in five blueprints of the same series for a single blueprint of a higher rarity.

Rocket League’s March update will download automatically after you boot up Steam.
