SEGA releases Valkyria Chronicles 4’s PC system requirements

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is now available to pre-order on Steam, revealing a release date of September 25th, which is the same day as the title’s PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch release.

PC gamers will be glad to know that Valkyria Chronicles 4 will support 4K resolutions and Ultra-wide displays from day one, with the game including both Steam achievements and trading card support. Sadly, Sega has not confirmed whether or not the game will support arbitrary framerates, or feature a locked framerate cap. Customisable keyboard/mouse controls will also be available alongside gamepad support.

This new iteration of the Valkyria Chronicles series will ship with the latest version of the game’s CANVAS graphics engine alongside an overhauled “BLITZ” battle system, which merges 3rd person shooter, RPG and turn-based battle systems to create a unique combat experience.

SEGA releases Valkyria Chronicles 4's PC system requirements

Using the game’s minimum PC system requirements, we can see that Valkyria Chronicles 4 requires a Windows 7 64-bit system or newer with a quad-core processor (Intel i3 6100 or above) and at least 4GB of system memory and a GTX 650 Ti 2GB graphics cards. Storage requirements are strangely large for a title with such low hardware requirements, asking for 71GB of storage space.

The game is a DirectX 9.0c title, which is rare for a modern PC game, with the title using Denuvo’s Anti-Tamper technology as a 3rd party DRM.

MINIMUM:

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i3 6100 or equivalent AMD
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 650Ti 2GB
DirectX: Version 9.0c
