Shenmue I & II’s PC release date and system requirements have been revealed
Shenmue 1 & 2’s PC release date and system requirements have been released
The Shenmue series was a technical showpiece at the time of the game’s release, pioneering the use of open world city exploration, dynamic weather, a day/night cycle and Quick-Time-Events (QTEs). The series also offers an in-depth story, one which has prompted the creation of Shenmue 3 almost 20 years after the release of the original.Â
This re-release will bring both Shenmue I and 2 to Xbox One, PC and PS4, offering support for higher resolutions, a new UI, updated or classic controls and a choice between the game’s English and Japanese Audio.
On PC the game will offer fully scalable resolution support”, which should allow the game to support 4K resolutions and perhaps Ultra-wide displays. Previously the Shenmue series was only playable on PC via emulation, simulating the original Dreamcast or Xbox versions.Â
 Â
Shenmue I & II’s remaster will require PC gamers to use Windows 7 64-bit or newer have 4GB of system memory and 30GB of storage space, making this remaster much larger than both original games combined. The game will also support DirectX 11 on PC.Â
Below are the game’s full PC system requirements, though at this time it is unknown why the game recommends a Radeon HD 6990, which is a dual GPU graphics card. Who said Crossfire was dead?Â
