Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos-Montreal has revealed Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s PC system requirements, unveiling notably higher hardware recommendations than the game’s predecessors.

On the CPU-side, most of the game’s hardware recommendations have seen a generational upgrade over Rise of the Tomb Raider, with the minimum CPU requirement raising from an Intel Core i3-2100 to an i3-3220, with the game’s recommended CPU increasing to an Intel i7-3770K to an i7-4770K or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600.

RAM-wise, Shadow of the Tomb Raider requires a minimum of 8GB of system memory, with Square Enix recommending that users have a total of 16GB of RAM. GPU-wise things remain similar to before, requiring a minimum of a GTX 660/GTX 1050, a Radeon HD 7770 or an equivalent DirectX 11 graphics card.

Moving to the game’s recommended graphics requirements, we find the game’s developers recommending a DirectX 12 graphics card that is equivalent to or greater than a Radeon RX 480 8GB or a Geforce GTX 1060 6GB.
