STALKER 2 receives its first in-engine trailer

GSC GameWorld has released its first in-engine trailer for STALKER 2 (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2), the long-awaited sequel to the PC classic STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and its expansions.

With this trailer, it has been confirmed that STALKER 2 will release on consoles, starting with Xbox Series X. At a launch, STALKER 2 will be exclusive to Xbox Series X. Thankfully Microsoft’s console exclusivity will not impact the PC version of the game.

Unlike previous entries int he STALKER series, STALKER 2 will not be based on the X-RAY engine, with GSC GameWorld opting to utilise Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4. Despite this change, GSC GameWorld remains committed to offering the same atmosphere as the original STALKER games, while also taking visuals to the next generation.

Unfortunately, GSC GameWorld has not committed to a release date for STALKER 2 on PC or Xbox Series X.
