Star Wars: Battlefront II’s Open Beta will take place between October 6th and 9th

EA has revealed that Star Wars: Battlefront II’s Open Beta will be taking place between October 6th and 9th, giving gamers access to a pre-release version of the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC. 

Right now it is expected that this beta will only give gamers access to the game’s multiplayer mode though this has not been officially confirmed. No progress from this beta will carry onto the final game, with EA confirming that all game progress will be wiped at the end of the beta. 

Those who pre-order the game will receive a code that will give them early access to the beta on their chosen platform, giving them access from October 4th. This will apply to PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Origin digital purchases, though codes will also be available from select retailers. 

Below are the PC system requirements for Star Wars: Battlefront II’s beta, providing system requirements for users of both Intel/AMD CPUs and AMD/Nvidia CPUs. Strangely EA is not recommending any Intel GPUs that are lower than Intel’s Skylake i5 6600K, though it is likely that most strong/modern quad-core CPUs will be able to handle Battlefront II will relative ease.

• OS: 64-bit Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
• Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350.
• Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 6600K.
• Memory: 8GB RAM.
• Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.
• Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB.
• DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent.
• Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection.
• Hard-drive space: 15GB.

Recommended:

• OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later.
• Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith.
• Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 6700 or equivalent.
• Memory: 16GB RAM.
• Graphics card (AMD): AMD.
• Radeon RX 480 4GB.
• Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB.
• DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent.
• Online Connection.
• Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection.
• Hard-drive space: 15GB.
