Steam alone reportedly accounts for over 55% of all Battlefield 6 players

Battlefield 6 has reportedly sold over 7 million copies, and most of them were on Steam

According to a report from Games Industry.biz, Battlefield 6 has reportedly sold over 7 million copies since launch. The game has reportedly generated over $350 million in gross revenue so far, setting it up to be one of EA’s most successful games of 2o25. Steam is by far the most popular platform for Battlefield 6, accounting for 55% of players.

Alinea Analytics reports that Battlefield 6 is “performing better than every premium game launched this year”, with the only exception being EA Sports FC 26. EA Sports FC 26 sold 7.7 million units in the same timeframe.

Consoles only accounted for 43.3% of Battlefield 6 sales, according to Alinea Analytics. PlayStation users accounted for 23.7% of sales (over 1.5 million units), and Xbox users accounted for 19.6% of sales (1.2 million units). Sadly, Battlefield 6 sales on the EA App and the Epic Games Store have not been reported. If these sales numbers are correct, Xbox may not be as far behind PlayStation as some analysts believe.

Battlefield 6’s success on PC highlights the growing popularity of PC gaming. Steam’s userbase has doubled since 2020, which means that PC gaming is continuing to grow at a rapid pace.
