Story content for Sea of Thieves is coming thanks to Tall Tales: Shores of Gold
While the game received average reviews, Rare remained committed to their pirate-themed co-op adventure, recently revealing that the game would be receiving an “Anniversary Update” which would add story-driven content to the game alongside a new Arena PVP mode and fishing minigame. This patch will arrive on April 30th.Â
Story content is coming to Sea of Thieves through the game’s “Shores of Gold” adventure, which will be the game’s first “Tall Tales” adventure, consisting of nine parts and is said to last for between 10-15 hours.Â
Below is Sea of Thieve’s “Shores of Gold” trailer, which details some aspects of the new game mode.Â
Embark upon a story-driven adventure into long-lost legends and mysteries. Wield wondrous artefacts, pit your wits against puzzles and face down truly fearsome guardians as you follow this trail of Tall Tales. Coming to all Sea of Thieves players as part of the free Anniversary update on April 30th!
Thanks to the “Tall Tales” branding we can already tell that Shores of Gold will be the first of many story-driven adventures in Sea of Thieves, acting as a new incentive to draw players back into the game while also encouraging players to keep subscribing to Xbox Game Pass. Sea of Thieves’ Shores of Gold Story content will arrive alongside the game’s Anniversary Update, which releases on April 30th on PC and Xbox One.Â
