The dates for Steam’s summer sale have leaked

We all know that Steam’s summer sale is coming, the yearly event that budget oriented gamers have been eagerly awaiting as out wallets give into despair. For years now the date of this event have long been known by gamers, leaking through PayPal notifications, developers and various other sources throughout the years.

This year the sale was leaked by a developer on Reddit, who revealed that the sale would start at 9:50 AM PST on June 22nd and end on July 5th at 10:05 am PST. This will have the sale running for two weeks, giving gamers a lot of time to make the most out of the price reductions available.

Sadly, Steam’s sales have gotten a lot less interactive over the years, removing timed sales events and removing a lot of the game-like aspects of Steam sales. Looking at this from a different perspective it prevents gamers from missing “limited” sale items and prevents the almost daily server slowdowns that result from thousands of Steam users loading the same page at once.
