The Jill of the Jungle Trilogy is free on GOGÂ
If you are looking for a bit of 90’s era platforming and a look into the history of video games, today presents you with a great opportunity, as the Jill of the Jungle Trilogy is now available for free on GOG, complete with support for modern Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems.Â
In case you were unaware, Tim Sweeney created the Jill of the Jungle series through Epic MegaGames, a company which would later become Epic Games, giving the company enough market recognition and funding to develop future titles, eventually leading to today’s Unreal Engine and the hundreds of modern games that utilise it.Â
As a free DRM-Free title, there is no reason not to pick it up, even if you only plan on playing the game for a short period of time. It’s not like the game’s 15MB install size posed any challenge to modern PCs. Â
 Â
She’s beautiful. She’s brave. She knows her way around a jungle. She is fighting the most difficult battle of her life.
Fortunately, Jill is a tough lady. She can run, jump, and skillfully use her knife and spinning blade. Want to really trick Jillâs opponents? Find the magical icons, and Jill will transform into a flaming bird, a leaping frog, or even better, a fish who can shoot bullets! Even though Jill is prepared for the dangers of the jungle, helping her complete her mission will not be easy. Do you have the courage to help her?
Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy includes:
– Jill of the Jungle
– Jill Goes Underground
– Jill Saves the Prince
While Jill of the Jungle’s graphics are blocky and low resolution by today’s standards, it is always interesting to see how some of today’s largest gaming juggernauts started their respective journeys to the top.Â
Free copies of the Jill of the Jungle Trilogy can be redeemed on the GOG storefront.Â
