This game comes from Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, two of the minds behind 1987s Manic Mansion and 1990s The Secret of Monkey Island, who developed Thimbleweed Park after a successful Kickstarter campaign.Â
While most PC gamers may not have heard of the title, it released with plenty of praise from reviewers and gamers alike, achieving a Metacritic score of 84 and a “Very Positive” review rating on Steam.Â
To our knowledge, this is the first time the Thimbleweed Park has been available for free on PC, making this the perfect time to try out the title. Below is a brief description of the game and a trailer for the title.Â
Welcome to Thimbleweed Park. Population: 80 nutcases.
A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes… youâve never visited a place like this before.
In Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems. Switch between five playable characters to uncover the surreal secrets of this strange town in a modern mystery adventure game from the creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. The deeper you go, the weirder it gets.
