Total War: Warhammer II’s Mortal Empires Campaign will release on October 26th
Total War: Warhammer II’s Mortal Empires Campaign will release on October 26th
This new campaign map is not simply stitching together the maps of Total War Warhammer’s I and II but creating a whole new campaign map that has been rebalanced to support all of the game’s existing Legendary Lords and factions, with all playable factions from each game being available to play. Sadly Norsca will not be available to play as in this campaign at launch, as that faction DLC was not planned when the Mortal Empires map was initially being designed. Thankfully this faction will be playable in this new mode at a later date, though the release of this faction is unknown at this time.Â

Creative Assembly has confirmed that all of the new features of Total War: Warhammer II will be included in this campaign, like rogue armies, treasure hunting, Â sea encounters and climate suitability. Factions will no longer be limited to specific locations on the map like in original Total War: Warhammer, though certain areas will be more suitable to certain factions than others.Â
It has also been confirmed that Total War: Warhammer III will also have a crazy sized campaign map, which will add an even larger map to the game that contains the regions used in Total War: Warhammer II’s sequel. Creative Assembly has not thought of a name for this epic-scale campaign map, only calling it “A Very Big Campaign” in their recent blog post. This campaign will only be available to owners of Total War: Warhammer I, II and III. Â
