Twitch launches their Twitch desktop app with many Discord-like features
Â
Twitch has released their new desktop app, which now comes with community servers that offer both text-chat and voice chat communications options, providing a similar service to what is already available on Discord. Â
Â
This app will provide users with features that are not available in your web browser, allowing fans of particular streamers or members of certain online communities to communicate and socialise even when the host streamer is offline. Twitch also promises fast loading times than Twitch on your Internet browser, allowing Twitch users to easily watch live content, VODs and other clips. Â
Â
Servers are the main feature of this new Twitch app, which allows users to friend other users and allows communities to interact and thrive even if a Streamer goes offline.Â
When a stream goes offline, so does its community⦠sadness. But with Twitch Desktop Appâs servers, communities have a place to call home 24/7 with text and voice rooms.
Â
The Twitch also features the ability to host voice and video calls between its users, which again is a popular feature used by Discord and other popular communication tools like Skype.Â
