Ubisoft has officially revealed plans to open two new studios in Quebec Canada, with plans to create 1,000 new jobs within the next 10 years.

The first of these two new studios will be in Saguenay, which is set to open in early 2018. This studio will be dedicated to online technology and the creation of more connected gaming experience, with the studio being under the direction of Jimmy Boulianne.

This studio is set to create 125 new jobs within the next five years, with 200 new jobs coming to Quebec City studios and 675 new jobs coming to their Montreal Studio over the next 10 years. It is unknown where the second new game studio will be located, or when it will open its doors.

Ubisoft plans on investing $780 million within the Quebec region over this 10-year period, with the company planning on investing a further $13 million into education, university research and creating an ecosystem for tech start-ups.
