Ubisoft reveals Anno 1800 Technical Test and Beta PC System Requirements

In the near future, Ubisoft plans to start a “Technical Test” for Anno 1800, which is set to release in February 2019, granting PC gamers access to Citizen Tiers 1-3 of the game while being bound to an NDA, preventing them from talking about their experience with the game.

Alongside this announcement comes a registration process for prospective players, with the technical test being English language only. Ubisoft has also released PC system requirements for their test version, though they have stressed that these requirements are not representative of the final game, as Anno 1800 is currently in development and undergoing performance optimisation.

Anyone who registers for the technical test has a chance to be invited, though signing up for the Alpha does not guarantee an invite.

Below are the “current” PC system requirements for Anno 1800, marking a significant upgrade over 2015’s Anno 2205, boosting the minimum system requirements over the recommended system specs of the Anno series’ previous incarnation.

Current Minimum Specs:

CPU: Intel i5 3470 or AMD FX 6350
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 670 GTX or AMD Radeon R9 285
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (all 64-bit)
Hard Drive: 26 GB

Current Recommended Specs:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 970 GTX or AMD Radeon RX 480
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (all 64-bit)
