Ubisoft details Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered’s graphical improvements
Owners of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Season Pass will gain free access to this remaster when it becomes available in March 2019, though at this time an exact release date for the game is unknown.Â
Graphically, the remaster will offer gamers high-resolution textures, new character models and a new lighting system that used physically-based rendering. These details should allow the remaster to look a lot better than its original PS3/Xbox 360 counterparts.Â
Other changes include denser crowds, environments and other enhanced graphical effects. It is likely that the game’s level of detail settings will also be pushed out to deliver increased detail at a distance, moving beyond the original game’s PC version when maxed out.Â
Being a PS3/Xbox 360 era game, Assassin’s Creed 3 offers Ubisoft plenty of room for graphical improvement. Expect to see trailers for the remaster at a later date, where Ubisoft’s graphical enhancements will be on full display. Right now, Assassin’s Creed 3: Remastered is only available as part of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s season pass, though the game is expected to be released as a standalone title on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
