Until Dawn has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 for PC and PlayStation 5

Until Dawn is coming to PC and PlayStation 5 this year

Sony has officially announced that a remastered version of Until Dawn will be coming to both PC and PlayStation 5 this year. The game will rebuild the classic horror game using Unreal Engine 5. This will give the game improved visuals, animations, effects, and more movie-like cinematography. Beyond this, the game will also feature improved audio.

Supermassive’s horror game was a huge hit when it launched on PS4 in 2015. The game’s success resulted in the creation of The Dark Pictures Anthology and The Quarry. These successors all launched on PC and other non-Sony gaming platforms. Only Until Dawn was locked to Sony’s PS4 platform. Now, the game is coming to PC and PlayStation 5.

Ballistic Moon, the developer behind the remaster, has “endeavoured to keep the fantastic narrative integratory of the original”. That said, the studio has taken the opportunity to “expand upon unexplored emotional parts of the story”. This means that the remaster should include new scenes that players of the original will not have seen before.

Rebuilt and enhanced for PS5 consoles and PC – Until Dawn invites you to relive the nightmare, and immerse yourself in a gripping slasher horror where every decision can make the difference between life and death. Coming to PS5 and PC in 2024.

On PC, Until Dawn will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. At this time the game’s PC system requirements and pricing are unknown.
