Valve will be attending Gamescom 2018

Gamescom’s exhibitor list is out, confirming that Valve will be present at the event, which is set to take place between August 21st until August 25th in Cologne Germany.

Valve’s presence at this event could be for several reasons, be it for the promotion of new SteamVR technology or the reveal of new gaming titles. The company is known to be working on several projects, with Artifact, Valve’s online card game, being a likely candidate for an official showcase.

Back in April, Valve acquired Campo Santo games, the studio behind Firewatch, who are now working on a game called In the Valley of the Gods. Since the acquisition, Valve has become the publisher of In the Valley of the Gods, which is due to release sometime in 2019.

Valve rarely attends events like Gamescom as an exhibitor, which seems to indicate that the company plans to reveal at least one new gaming titles, with the company being rumoured to have several VR games in the pipeline. Who known, Valve may even announce Half-Life 3, assuming the company is brave enough to tackle that mountain of expectation.
