Fatshark games have released a new gameplay video for Warhammer: Vermintide II, a co-op horde fighting game which forces teams of up to five players against the forces of Chaos or the vile Skaven Vermintide.  

This video has revealed that the final game will release on March 8th, with those who pre-order the title getting PC beta access on February 28th. This game fills the gap left by titles such as Valve’s Left 4 Dead series, with the game’s previous iteration finding a lot of success on PC, Xbox One and PS4, enough to fund the development of a sequel with engine upgrades, better visuals, increased enemy variety and more. 

Vermintide II will be releasing on PC first, offering support for both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 modes, making the game suitable for both old and new hardware configurations. Overall the title will provide improved visuals over its predecessor, as well as increased hardware efficiency thanks to upgrades to the Vermintide II game engine. 

  

Fatshark games have released PC system requirements for this upcoming title, though note that these requirements are preliminary and are subject to change. Looking at these specifications, it seems like Vermintide II will be very easy to run on low-end hardware, even on ageing Piledriver quad-cores on the from AMD and the almost eight-year-old GTX 460, which was a mid-range GPU at the time of its release.
