World in Conflict is currently available for free on Uplay

For the next week, Ubisoft will be giving Uplay users the opportunity to redeem a free copy of World in Conflict: Complete Edition, one of 2007’s best RTS titles. This version of the game will come with World in COnflict’s Soviet Assult Expansion. 

Massive Entertainment created World in Conflict, the same company that was behind Tom Clancey’s The Division. The game is set in an alternative 1989 where the Soviet Union has invaded Western Europe and instigated World War III. In the game’s campaign, players will take the role of US Army officer who takes command of both US and NATO forces when combating Russian invaders. 

In the game’s expansion, Soviet Assult, players are tasked with controlling Russian forces during their invasion of Europe and participate in the Union’s surprise invasion of the US. 

All PC gamers will need to access a copy of this game is a free Uplay account, with both existing and new Uplay users being able to participate in this promotional period.
