Nvidia DLSS 4 support comes to Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws now features Nvidia’s improved DLSS 4 AI models and Multi-Frame Generation support

Patch 1.5.1 has been released for Star Wars Outlaws, adding support for Nvidia’s DLSS 4 technology to the game. This brings to the game Nvidia’s updated DLSS AI models, improving the quality of Nvidia’s Upscaling and Frame Generation technologies. Additionally, this update also adds DLSS Multi Frame Generation support for users of GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs. The game’s DLSS Ray Reconstruction model has also been improved.

This update should come as great news for all Nvidia RTX GPU users. With Nvidia’s Transformer-based AI models, DLSS Super Resolution and DLAA deliver higher quality results. For RTX 40 series owners, the performance of DLSS Frame Generation has also improved. Below, we can see that the game also features a “Legacy” mode, which allows gamers to use Nvidia’s older DLSS models. These older models are more performant on Nvidia’s older GPUs. However, the slower nature of Nvidia’s newer models is worth it for the image quality boost it provides.

Update 1.5.1 also adds support for the latest version of Sony’s PSSR upscaler to the game’s PlayStation 5 Pro version. This should increase the game’s image quality on Sony’s newest Pro console.

For all platforms, this update also provides some minor bugfixes. This includes a fix for an audio issue where ships can be louder than expected, and a bug that prevented Kay from dismounting her speeder when on steep inclides.
