Corsair Lapdog Gaming Control Centre Review

Corsair Lapdog Gaming Control Centre

Up Close

The Lapdog comes in a gigantic box befitting such a large product. With an enormous Corsair Lapdog (drink) logo there is no doubt what lays within. The first thing out of the box is the base which is extremely comfy foam. Just enough squish to absorb any jolts without being so soft that it’s in danger of sagging, or costing you valuable headshots.

The keyboard hole beautifully matches the looks of the K series of Corsair keyboards with a brushed aluminium finish guaranteed to last as long as the keyboard itself. We’ll take a closer look at this element when we build it on the next page.

The mouse area is a hard surface eleven inches square. If you prefer a cloth mousemat then this isn’t for you, although if you have a small enough one we guess you could just put it on the top.

Around the back is the USB hub area. The back side contains the powered hub input and the port to connect the Lapdog (drink) to your PC. At the side are the two USB 3.0 ports, which include support for 1.5A charging. Given how quickly our phones go flat these days it’s a useful option to have.

As well as a power supply for the aforementioned powered hub, the Lapdog (drink… you’re my best friend and I love you) comes with a seriously lengthy cable to let you have both the plug and your PC a long way from the Lapdog.
