ASUS ROG Maximus XII Apex Preview

Introduction

Our ability to bring you sneak previews of the next Intel Z490 chipset knows no bounds and continues apace. Next up we have a variant upon the ASUS ROG range in the form of the Maximus XII Apex. Getting your head around which model fits where in the Maximus range has long since moved away from the “Extreme for the rich, Formula for the masses” naming scheme of old and is now quite difficult to keep track of with a model for almost every pocket.

The Apex doesn’t quite sit as high as the Extreme did, but it’s still very much at the upper end of the Maximus XII range and has some cool design touches for those of you who want a motherboard a little out of the ordinary, whilst not compromising your performance on the altar of aesthetics.
