Overclocking

With less overclocking prowess than the flagship X470 motherboards you could be forgiven for thinking that the B450-I Strix has little to offer in this department, but on the contrary it managed to overclock our Ryzen 7 2700X to 4.2 GHz on all 8 cores. Given the likelihood of anyone who buys this particular motherboard running a 2700X in it is small, we think this bodes well for the Ryzen 5s. Obviously for the sake of comparison we want to keep our Ryzen test rig as close to the rest as possible, hence this overkill CPU.
