The RGB lighting on the Strix-E is both a triumph and a disaster. Triumphantly we have the first motherboard we can think of that has RGB lighting built in to the M.2 heatspreader. Very tasteful, as is the little ROG logo on the chipset heatsink.

What we like infinitely less is the blurry motion effect of the ROG Eye on the IO/VRM heatsink. It’s like ASUS are sponsored by either Specsavers or Anadin. You can’t focus on it at all and if you try you just get a headache. Terrible idea.
