All of the Z390 motherboards we’ve reviewed so far today have managed to extract 5 GHz across all eight cores of the Core i9-9900K and the Maximus XI Formula is no exception. For those of us who are stuck on older quad core technology the thought of sixteen muscular threads pumping along at that most attractive of clock speeds gets us a little damp in the undercarriage.
