Overclocking

The Rampage VI Extreme Omega easily can take our Core i7-7900X up to its silicon limit of 4.7 GHz without breaking a sweat. The combination of enhanced VRM cooling and the always excellent Rampage board design will happily maximise your processor.

With the extra VRM cooling and redesigned power phases being the key feature of the Omega version of the Rampage VI Extreme we also stressed it as hard as possible by utilising the incredible Core i9-7980XE and overclocking it to the hilt, in this case 4.6 GHz across all 18 cores. Even here the Rampage VI Extreme Omega just shrugs its shoulders and delivers gobs of performance. As you can see from the graph below it doesn’t even warm the VRMs up that much. 66°C for an overclocked i9-7980XE demonstrates the success of the redesign.
