The heatsinks definitely do their job on the Black. On the standard Extreme we rarely felt the heatsinks get warm at all, whereas the Black Edition definitely gets warm to the touch. Helpful for those pushing towards records.

Something which is becoming ever more common is dividing the sound side of the PCB off, and the Rampage Black is no different. When you’ve got such a high performance set of components it would be foolish to leave them open to possible distortion. We can’t remember seeing a back plate so stuffed full of desirable things.
