Overclocking

Such is the commitment that EVGA have put into the power phases on the Dark, as well as using high quality components and a thick PCB, that the overclocking is an absolute breeze. Our Core i9-9900K pretty much tops out at 5 GHz anyway, but the EVGA got there with the bare minimum of fuss.

Now our i9-9900K is only really happy around the 5-5.1 GHz mark, but that isn’t to say that the EVGA Dark is the reason it doesn’t clock so high. The motherboard is more than capable of blitzing anything with an ounce of quality in it. For example, this is our Core i5-9600K on the EVGA Dark. 5.6 GHz, rock solid at 1.5v. CPUz is mis-reading the Voltage here, but 5.6 GHz! Damn this motherboard flies!
