The fact that so many PCI Express 4.0 lanes are included on the CPU has enabled X470 motherboards to push our M.2 drive along at a fair old clip. With the X570 being designed around this technology though it’s clear that there is a benefit to be utilising the full fat version, with very nearly 5 GB/s read speeds.
