Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WiFi7 Review

Overview

We’re not going to pretend we don’t approve of the Gigabyte Aorus Elite box colour accent. Or at the very least I do. Partly because there isn’t enough orange in the world, but also because it reminds us of the old Gigabyte Z97X SOC motherboard which was a superstar for its day.

Although it’s part of the Gigabyte Aorus range, the X870 Elite is at the lower end of those models and thus you just get some SATA cables and the Antenna. Thankfully the Antenna is still the new Gigabyte style single plug option. Very user friendly.

If you didn’t know that the Aorus Elite didn’t sit in the top echelons of the Gigabyte range then this image wouldn’t give it away either. It’s a fantastic looking motherboard. All matte surfaces and relatively subtle branding. Once you’ve got a PGU in place only the screen-printed Aorus logo will stand out.
