Test Setup

We’re sticking to using the Core i9-11900K and its Adaptive Boost Technology overclocking to see how much can be squeezed from the pairing without any user input. We know the Core i9 is not the best processor in the Rocket Lake range, but it’s the sternest test we can give a motherboard and so still useful.

Clock Speeds

The Gigabyte Z590 motherboards have been delayed whilst they sort out the BIOS, and whilst this has been relatively effective on the Aorus Ultra ITX, the Master is pushing way too many volts through our Core i9 in default settings. This is a processor which is already toasty at the best of times. We’ll see how this pans out through our testing.
