Temperatures and Power Draw
Our CPU temperature testing is a juxtaposition between best and worst case scenarios. We run a seriously heavyweight CPU cooler, which shows the best use case, and then torture the system for 30 minutes to get our peak reading. Otherwise known as the worst case scenario. Such is the state of the world right now that having a system which can save you even a few Watts at the wall will quickly save you a fortune. Naturally stock systems require lower power than overclocked ones, and some Eco modes can be even more frugal.
As you would expect from a CPU with as many cores as the Intel Core i9-13900KS, and ones that run at these speeds, the new KS isn’t for those of you who have cut corners elsewhere in your build.
