Overclocking

Demonstrating how good the power capabilities and design of the B450 Carbon is, we managed to stretch the clocks of our Ryzen 7 2700X all the way to 4.2 Ghz across all eight cores. As we keep mentioning, when it comes to overclocking the Ryzen it isn’t about having one or two cores running as quickly as possible, but getting a consistent clock speed across all the cores so that those demanding tasks get more horsepower to play with. You can tell which tasks these are from our benchmarks, where the 1 or 2 core tests utilise the automatic Turbo function to equal our overclock results with a stock setup, whilst the ones that the overclock smashes the stock usually use all the cores available.
