Test Setup
We’ve looked at the Ryzen processors individually, and also seen how well they perform if you slot them into a pre-existing X470 motherboard. For the X570 reviews we’re just testing them against each other.

Overclocking
So far we’ve seen 4.4 GHz from the ASUS Strix-E and 4.35 GHz from the Gigabyte Master. The MSI MPG Carbon fits neatly between those two bringing 4.375 GHz across the twelve cores of our Ryzen 9 3900X. Certainly plenty of performance for every requirement, particularly when combined with the 3600 MHz DDR4.
