MSI Z390 MEG Ace Review

Power Draw

The stock MSI Z390 MEG Ace seems to have a mild overclock in place in the stock score when running our DDR4 at XMP settings, hence its rampage throughout today’s review, but amazingly it isn’t as much as one might imagine given the scores as the overall power draw isn’t that hefty. Naturally a 5 GHz overclock requires a lot of power, but a 5 GHz 8 core CPU and a GTX 980 for around 300W at the wall shows what an amazing efficiency job the big manufacturers have done.
