NZXT N7 Z490 Motherboard Review

NZXT N7 Z490 Motherboard Review

Introduction

NZXT are not new to the world of motherboards having already released an N7 model based around the Z390 chipset.

Clearly that must have gone well for them as they have returned to the world of foundations with the N7 Z490 motherboard we’re reviewing today. If, like many people, you have an NZXT Kraken AIO, or perhaps their HUE RGB infrastructure then getting a motherboard which can make full use of these items and is nicely integrated seems to make perfect sense. Anything that would reduce the amount of cables and interfaces we have to cram into our tower cases to run everything gets a big tick in our book.

Of course when you’re looking at getting a motherboard the fact it can also run your RGB strips or work well with your AIO is very much a secondary concern. It has to be a good motherboard first and foremost. With an affordable price point and unique looks let us discover if the NZXT N7 Z490 is worth your investment, or if that low price point brings compromises that the added features cannot compensate for.
