Graphics drivers have evolved to the point where temperature is about the only limiting factor on how fast your card can go. We always abuse the card to get the worst possible scenario, so don’t take this as an average in most games. Similarly as the global energy crisis explodes, especially in the UK, knowing how much your bill will suffer is a useful piece of information, particularly when you’re buying cards at this end of the price spectrum.
